This is a poem by Quinn Zhael

My heart is a broken
Arcade token
The back of my mind
Whispers phrases unkind
“Just open your veins”
And scramble my brains
You used to say
“This life is killing you from the inside”
Now you only ask me “Why?”
Why do you cry? Why do you sigh?
Don’t you remember?
I already died
And every day I wilt inside
Trapped without a soul to confide
And yet my body can’t abide
You owned me from the day you lied
And led me down this hellbent slide
And when my words flow out to chide
You blame and turn your back to hide
Every choice I’ve ever made
Has moved me far from where I’d stayed
Had I known the pain these choices made
The pros and cons were never weighed
A prison of my own design
I found atop an uphill climb
God gave me the gift to see signs
And I stumble as if I’m blind
All tied up in my own twine
All because I call you mine
